Kite Day
Our church hosted a "Kite Day". They provided jump castles and slides, hamburgers & hot dogs, even snow cones. All we had to bring was our kite. Lots of fun!

No Training Wheels!
After several weeks of raising the training wheels, and trying with just one, and trying to hold her up without any, etc... we finally got the training wheels off the bike! She can ride her two-wheeler all by herself. She can even get going and stop without any help.

Old Cars
My Aunt Donna (thank you!!!) sent a box of old car's she had from when she was a kid. They were a little dusty from being stored so long, so Kaira was happy to give them all a 'car wash'. I've been giving them to her a couple at a time and she has been having a blast at bath time cleaning and shining them up.

More Bathtime Fun

Girl Scouts
Kaira's Daisy troop had a couple of people from the local YMCA come to a meeting to talk to them about eating healthy and exercising. The girls started the meeting with healthy snacks (apple slices, carrot sticks, etc) while talking about what constitutes a healthy lifestyle. Then they did some stretching and aerobics with the health director from the YMCA. And they had a blast doing it. This completed the last petal they had to earn to finish their daisy flower on their uniform (will post pictures of the completed smock soon).

Report Card
Report card from the 3rd quarter of school. Had a slight bit of trouble getting back into the school routine after coming back from Christmas break, but after that, things have been great.

St. Patrick's Day
A project from art class... a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow made out of clay. She was quite proud of this one.

It's T-Ball time again!
It's that time of year again... t-ball! This year has been really great because the team is made up completely of kindergarten students from Kaira's school. She has had a lot of fun this season getting to play with all of her friends. The school mascot is the Patriots, so they named their t-ball team the same. Here are a few pictures from the first couple games...

Showing off her uniform at home before heading to the first game... her first swing of the season (was a solid hit!)... on base waiting to run...

Playing in the field... at bat again... chasing down a ball in the field...

Karen's Stuff
I have about 5-6 classmates that I have become good friends with (which, most of the time, just means we share study guides and have review sessions together). One of them had a birthday, and we all got together and planned a surprise birthday dinner. The first pic is of us at dinner (unfortunately the waiter posed us in front of a mirror, so it's not the greatest picture), and the second is of the cake that I made for dessert - one of my finer masterpieces to date. I am quite proud of this one... choc cake w/ choc hazelnut buttercream frosting between layers, a choc espresso ganache over the cake, garnished with chopped hazelnuts and espresso truffles. It was sooooo good! :)

Red Again
Around St. Patrick's day, I decided to be a redhead again... kinda like it.
